IEEE ASU Student Branch participated in the ASU Open Door 2019 at the Tempe Campus on Saturday, 23rd February 2019. The board members exhibited on the theme of ‘Advancing Technology for Humanity’ which is the motto of IEEE. The activity involved playing a game of mix-and-match. There were names of people and the company they founded which is making the world a better place. Participants identified the photos and matched it with the founder’s name and company logo. The winning team received a cool LED fidget spinner from us !

Once a year, ASU Open Door invites the local community, adults and children of all ages, to experience ASU and discover why it was named one of the most innovative universities in the nation three years in a row. ASU Open Door welcomes visitors to our four campus locations, allowing visitors to explore the spaces accessible only to ASU students – laboratories, living collections, museums and classrooms. Visitors have the opportunity to participate in hundreds of interactive, hands-on activities and talk to students, faculty and staff

The board members had a fun time interacting with aspiring engineers, alumni and their families. The Open Door provided a great opportunity to reach out to people and introduce IEEE.
