IEEE ASU attended the Spring 2019 FSO Leadership Transition Retreat on 18th January at ASU Student Pavilion. The retreat started with introduction of all the staff members in the Student Engagement Office and they shared their responsibilities towards helping us manage the student organization, set and achieve respective goals. The retreat provided FSO leaders to reassess and update their strategic plans as needed. The retreat helped to network with 100+ fellow FSO leaders and ASU organization supporters, learn how to effectively manage leadership transitions and become equipped with Dean’s Funding final report information.

The retreat ended with FSO leadership panel discussion organized by the Fulton Student Council (FSC). Prominent student leaders from different Fulton Student Organizations on-campus shared their experiences and answered questions, concerns raised by the student attendees. Our Chair, Karan Kantharia was also invited to be a part of the panel and gave his insights to important issues that must be addressed while leading a student organization. Every FSO had an opportunity to share their upcoming events and plans for the spring semester.
